Key Projects

Enterprise Data & Analytics Platform

Leading architecture and platform delivery for a large healthcare provider's Enterprise Data and Analytics ecosystem.

Responsible for defining and implementing a cloud-native data platform strategy, including governance models, secure data processing environments, and scalable analytics capabilities. Leading multi-disciplinary, distributed engineering teams while aligning platform delivery with clinical, research, and strategic business objectives.

Driving the design of scalable AWS-based data platforms with a strong emphasis on automation, security by design, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance. Ensuring the platform enables both innovation and controlled, secure access to sensitive healthcare data.

Secure Data Environment (SDE)

Played a key leadership role in delivering a Secure Data Environment enabling controlled research access and large-scale data analysis within a governed cloud architecture.

Provided architectural direction across platform, infrastructure, and DevOps workstreams, stabilising delivery and removing blockers in a high-pressure environment. Designed and implemented secure AWS infrastructure, robust access controls, automation frameworks, and operational guardrails.

Established an operating model that balanced agility with governance, ensuring strict security, compliance, and data protection standards were embedded into the platform from inception.

National-Scale Digital Services – COVID-19 Home Testing

Provided architectural and platform leadership for nationally critical digital services during the pandemic.

Contributed to the design and evolution of highly resilient, cloud-based platforms capable of supporting significant traffic volumes and rapid iterative change. Worked across cross-functional engineering, product, and operational teams to ensure secure, scalable, and reliable service delivery under intense public and operational scrutiny.

Operated in a fast-paced, high-impact environment where platform stability, delivery velocity, and public trust were equally critical.

National Integration & API Modernisation Programme

Contributed to the architecture and delivery of modern integration gateways designed to onboard new GP IT system suppliers into a national digital healthcare ecosystem.

Helped design and implement API-driven interfaces to replace legacy proprietary integrations, enabling greater interoperability, supplier innovation, and long-term scalability.

Focused on modern cloud integration patterns, secure API architecture, interoperability standards, and scalable adoption across a large, distributed healthcare estate.
